2017 Season (Junior): Started all 12 games at defensive end... was sixth on the team with 38 tackles (19 solo)... had a team best 12.5 tackles for loss, ranking 10th in the Southland... ranked seventh in the SLC with 6.5 sacks... had a career game at Stephen F. Austin, tallying 3.5 sacks and matched his career best of eight tackles. Went on to earn SLC and LSWA DPOW, and received honorable mention for STATS FCS National DPOW.... forced a fumble against Prairie View and had two sacks... recorded a sack and five tackles at Texas A&M.

2016 Season (Sophomore): Started all 11 games on the defensive line... finished with 18 tackles (14 solo)... registered 6.0 tackles for loss... was second on the team with 4.5 sacks... had a personal best eight tackles in win vs. SFA... had five stops, a sack and forced fumble at Georgia.

2015 Season (Freshman): Played in 11 games as a true freshman, starting the final eight on the defensive line… recorded 27 tackles on the year, including three for loss… had a sack against Houston Baptist… broke up one pass… made an immediate impact, registering four tackles in the opener at ULM… posted a season best five tackles at Colorado… logged his first career start in home opener against McNeese.
 
At Plaquemine: Played center and defensive end for the Green Devils… earned second-team All-District in his junior and senior seasons… helped lead team to first semifinal appearance since 1961 as they finished with a 12-2 record… named to NOLA.com/Times Picayune All-Baton Rouge Area Football Team… played for head coach Paul Distefano.

Personal: Born Sept. 18, 1996... parents are Kelcy and Denise Dotson... has a twin brother, Kevin, who plays football at Louisiana-Lafayette, and a younger sister, Peyton McKinley... his father was a linebacker at Louisiana-Lafayette and his mother ran track at McNeese... his uncles, Alvin and Dennis McKinley, played in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals, respectively... majoring in petroleum engineering technology and safety management.
