2017-18 (Senior): Appeared in 32 games, starting 28 … Logged 894 minutes … Totaled 317 points, 90 rebounds and 86 assists … Led the SLC with 74 steals (2.3 spg) … Ranked 12^th in Division I in steals per game (2.31) … The only DI student-athlete to record eight steals in a game on two separate occasions, against Tulane (Dec. 18) and New Orleans (Feb. 24), during the 2017-18 season… Deemed one of the best perimeter defenders in the country by head coach Richie Riley.

2016-17 (Junior): One of two players to start all 31 games, totaling a second-most 1,011 minutes … Tallied 368 points (11.9/game), 99 rebounds (3.2 /game) and a team-high 156 assists … Topped the SLC with 5.0 assists per contest … Knocked down a team-high 68 three-pointers at a 38.2 percent clip … Team-high 62 steals, ranking second in the SLC in steals per game (2.0) … Scored in double figures 20 times including the final 11 games … Accumulated double-doubles against Houston Baptist (Jan. 26; 11 points; 10 assists), UCA (Feb. 16; 16 points; 13 assists) and Northwestern State (Feb. 18; 10 points; 11 assists) … Season-high 25 points at New Orleans (Feb. 4) … Team’s best free-throw shooter (min. 20 attempts), knocking down 85 percent (68-80) of attempts from the charity stripe.

Tallahassee Community College: Averaged 12.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists, while shooting 34.7% from the floor and 31.0% from three-point range... Posted a 1.1 assist-to-turnover ratio and shot a solid 79.5% at the free throw line.

Lincoln High School: Named First Team All-Big Bend and Second Team All-Big Bend, while helping the Trojans win two District Championships.

Personal: Son of Hugh and Faith Powell, Jahvaughn was born on March 13 in Dayton, Ohio... He has three siblings, Imani, Dante and Shereeney... Jahvaughn plans to major in Sports Broadcasting and hopes to become a Sports Anchor.
