Biography

2010 Season (Senior): Saw action in 10 games… made nine tackles (eight solo)… best game was against Stephen F. Austin where he had three tackles and broke up one pass.

As a junior (2009) – Played in 10 games for the Colonels… Also switched from the defensive side to offense, and was listed as a backup to the running back corps… Had one carry on the season coming against Jacksonville State that went for two yards.

As a sophomore (2008) – Participated in all nine games, seeing action on special teams… Recorded two tackles, both solo.

As a redshirt freshman (2007) – Made the switch from defensive back to running back… Played in eight games while be a contributor on special teams… Had two carries for 11 yards on the season with both coming against Northwestern State… Longest runs was for six yards.

As a true freshman (2006) – Played in three games… Sustained a season-ending injury, and was award a medical redshirt.

At Theodore High School- A Second-Team All-Region selection as a senior … Finished the 2005 season with 67 tackles, three interceptions, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 14 pass break-ups … A star track-athlete placing third in the state of Alabama in the 100 meter dash and second in the 55 meter dash.

Personal – Kenneth Lamar Owens was born on March 19, 1988 in Mobile, Alabama… Son of the late Shirley and Lucious… Has six brothers named Joesph, Anthony, Terrence, Eirc, Brandon and Lucious Jr. and four sisters named Quita, Tisha, Tiffany, and LaToya… Majoring in Accounting.
