Brett Stewart enters his first year as a vounteer assistant for the Nicholls baseball team, joining the squad after serving as an assistant coach for the Rockville Express of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Summer League.
Stewart began his collegiate career at Tallahasse Community College, where he was a two-time Panhandle Conference Academic Honor Roll selection, second team Panhandle All-Conference and Florida JUCO All-Star Game participant in 2005 and 2006, before moving on to Appalachian State where he earned his B.S. in Psychology.
Stewart was an assistant coach for the Rockville Express of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Summer League, where he was a third base and hitting and fielding coach. He has also worked for the Virginia Baseball Club and Northwest Florida State College, as well as provided personal instruction as a private hitting coach.
