Ricky Smith joined the Nicholls baseball coaching staff in September 2020 as Player Development/Operations Coordinator.
Prior to Nicholls, Smith served as the Bullpen Coach/Student Manager at Louisiana State University, assisting the Tiger baseball program to both an SEC regular season and tournament championship along with back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, including a 2017 College World Series runner-up finish.
A native of Baton Rouge, La., Smith attended Bethany Christian High School and graduated from Louisiana State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies.
