2014 Season (Junior): Made 20 starts in 37 appearances in his inaugural season with Nicholls… Registered 21 hits, scored 12 runs, knocked in seven RBIs and had four doubles… Notched three hits against LSU on March 11… Recorded doubles against Northwestern State, Jackson State and BYU… Earned three RBIs against Jackson State… Scored two runs against BYU on March 7 and LSU on March 11.

Prior to Nicholls:

At Pearl River Community College: Was a MACJC second team all-state selection and a Region 23 Gold Glove award winner after hitting .311 at the plate with a .408 on-base percentage and .981 fielding percentage... Led the team in runs scored crossing the plate 55 times while driving in 37 RBI.

At Pearl High School: Was a Class 5A all-state selection as a senior in 2011, as well as being selected to the state all-star baseball game... Was a second team all-region football player... Excelled in powerlifting, winning individual state championships at the 148 and 165 pound classes, including three consecutive powerlifting team championships... Graduated with distinction from PHS.

Personal: Full name is Darius D Knight, born July 12 in Pearl, Miss... Son of Dwight and Vickie Knight... Has three siblings in Tylan, Austin and Landin... Is the cousin of Bianca Knight, gold medalist and world record holder as a member of the women's 4x100-meter relay at the London Olympics... Majoring in interdisciplinary studies.
