- SLC Hitter of the Week (4/20)

2026 Season: Saw action in 50 games with 47 starts… was excellent at the plate this season as he posted a .290 average with 51 hits, including 13 doubles and 11 home runs. He has scored 35 times, and his 48 RBI, which was tied for the most by a player in the SLC during the regular season…Led the team in sacrifice flies (6) and stole two bases… Shafer had 14 multi-hit games and was named SLC Hitter of the Week one time this season.

2025 Season: Did not play due to injury.

At BYU: Did not see action.

At College of Southern Idaho: Spent two seasons at Southern Idaho...Career stats include: batting .297 in 107 games played (and started), 350 AB, 86 runs on 104 hits with 21home runs and 103 RBI to go along with 76 PO and .859 FLD%...Two-time All-Region Third Baseman...Named to All-Scenic West Athletic Conference First Team (2021)
