2013 (Redshirt Junior): Batted .330 from the plate in his first year of action as a Colonel, ending the year s the only Nicholls everyday player to finish above .300... Finished first in average, and on-base percentage (.418) and third in slugging (.399), while finishing second in runs scored (33), first in hits (62), second in triples (3) and third in total bases (75)... Registered at least one hit in 38 games on the season... Had 14 games with two hits and five games with three to tie for the team lead in multiple hit games with 19... Had two two RBI contests... Longest hitting streak was seven games, while reaching base in 13 consecutive games... Earned a .995 fielding percentage while seeing time at first and third base.

2012 (Junior): Did not play and earned a redshirt.

Prior to Nicholls - 

Loyola - New Orleans (2010-11): Spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Loyola - New Orleans ... Led the team in batting his freshman year with a .349 average (53-for-152) in 41 games in 2010 ... Recorded two home runs, seven doubles and one triple while driving in 34 runs and scoring 27 times ... Recorded five three-hit games on the season ... Hit .291 (51-for-175) with a team-high 35 RBI as a sophomore in 2011.

E.D. White High School: A three-time all-district selection in high school, earning honorable mention in 2007 and first team recognition in 2008 and 2009 ... Named District 7-3A MVP, first team all-region and first team all-state as a senior in 2009 ... Also played football at E.D. White, earning honorable mention all-district in football as a junior in 2008 and academic all-state in football and baseball in 2009 as a senior.

Personal: The eldest of David and Mary Duplantis' four children ... A member of the Key Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Student Ambassadors while in high school.
