Biography

Former Colonels[apos] standout Walt Jones is a new addition to the coaching staff at Nicholls State. CJones played for the Colonels in the spring of 2007 and 2008 after transferring from L.B. Wallace Community College. After battling a severe leg injury his first year in Thibodaux, Jones became an everyday starter in right field and in the lead-off spot for the Colonels in 2008. Jones will assist in all phases of the baseball program, including working with the Coaches Committee, coordinating Colonels equipment, assisting with travel, and assisting with the coordination of camps.
