2011 (Freshman):  Made 23 appearances and five starts as a freshman ... Went 2-3 with two saves and a 5.28 ERA (27 ER/46.0 IP) ... Made his collegiate debut on Feb. 18 against Grambling, limiting the Tigers to one run on two hits and one walk in 1.1 IP ... Made his first career start on Feb. 23 against Ul-Lafayette, holding ULL to two runs on three hits and three walks, did not factor in the decision in the Nicholls win ... Did not allow a run from March 1 through March 11, a string of three relief appearances and 3.2 IP ... Made his second career start at Tulane on March 22, limited the Green Wave to just two earned runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out four batters in a 6.1 IP outing ... Recorded his first career win on March 28 against Loyola-New Orleans, holding the Wolfpack to just one earned run on nine hits over a career-long 7.1 IP while walking two batters and striking out three ... Picked up his first career save on April 3 against Texas-Arlington, limiting the Mavericks to one hit and no walks while striking out one batter in 0.2 IP to preserve the Nicholls victory ... Recorded his second save in as many appearances on April 9 at Northwestern State, threw 1.0 IP of scoreless relief, allowing just one hit and no walks while striking out one batter for the save ... Picked up his second career win on April 10 at Northwestern State, delivering 3.0 IP of scoreless relief and holding the Demons to one hit and no walks while tying his career and season high by striking out four batters ...  Threw 2.0 IP of scoreless relief in two appearances at the 2011 Southland Conference Tournament, allowed just four hits but did not walk a batter in postseason play ... Worked more than 1.0 IP of relief in six of his 18 relief appearances, recording a 1-0 record with a 1.23 ERA (2 ER/14.2 IP) in those outings.

Livonia High School:  A four-time all-district, three time all-parish and two time all-metro and all-state honoree at Livonia ... Named district MVP and an LHSAA all-star as a senior ... Also played football, earning all-district as a junior and senior ... Named all-parish in football in 2010.

Personal:  One of Johnny and Suzette Torres' three children ... Member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Beta Club at Livonia
