Biography

2020 Spring Season (Senior): Appeared in all seven games... saw times on special teams and as a backup defensive back... recorded a solo tackle in wins over Lincoln and UIW.

2019 Season (Junior): Played in the first two games before missing the rest of the season with an injury... had two tackles in the opener at Kansas State.

2018 Season (Redshirt Sophomore): Appeared in 10 games... played on special teams and as a backup in the secondary... totaled 15 tackles with 11 solo... had three tackles in the River Bell Classic against Southeastern Louisiana and in the playoff win over San Diego... also had a pair of two-tackle games in wins over Lamar and UIW.

2017 Season (Redshirt Freshman): Sat out the season... member of the practice squad in 2016.

At Central Lafourche: Received Class 5A All-State honorable mention as a senior… recorded 54 tackles (37 solo), an interception, seven pass breakups, two forced fumbles and four tackles for a loss in 2015… as a junior, earned First-Team All-District 7-5A and The Courier/Daily Comet All-Region… made list as a cornerback on Dandy Don's Top Football Prospects in Louisiana for the Class of 2016.

Personal: Born March 30, 1997 in Houma... son of Shirley Hester and Anthony Poindexter... has a brother and sister, Reandell and Shavonta Poindexter... majoring in interdisciplinary studies.
