2017 Season (Senior): Started all 12 games at guard... named Southland All-Academic and FCS ADA Academic All-Star... offensive line paved way for seven 100-yard rushing performances by four different players… RB Kyran Irvin was second in SLC in rushing yards per game… Nicholls ranked 2nd in SLC in rushing, helped by one 400-yard game and one 300-yard outing… unit allowed only 20 sacks, which was fourth fewest in the SLC.

2016 Season (Junior): Started all 11 games at guard... excelled in the classroom, being named Southland All-Academic and CoSIDA Academic All-District.

2015 Season (Redshirt Sophomore): Appeared in eight games, starting in three… earned his first career start in opener at ULM… played a key role in reducing the team’s sacks allowed by nearly 50 percent, going from 56 last season to 29 in 2015.
 
2014 Season (Redshirt Freshman): Played on the offensive line in four games... saw his first career action at center in the opener at Air Force.
 
2013 Season (Freshman): Received a redshirt.
 
At Dutchtown: Lettered three years for the Griffins… earned first-team all-metro and all-district honors as a senior… helped lead the Griffins to the 5A Regional in 2012… received all-district honorable mention as a junior… named Academic All-State… member of National Honor Society… maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school… graduated in the Top 5 percent of his class.
 
Personal: Born March 12, 1995 in Baton Rouge... son of Mark Hernandez... has an older brother, Michael... majoring in biology/ pre-med.
