Ben Mouton joined the Nicholls coaching staff prior to the 2025 season and will oversee the linebackers.
Mouton came to Thibodaux after spending one year at the University of Louisiana as outside linebackers analyst. In his lone season at UL, the Ragin' Cajuns won 10 games to claim the Sun Belt West Division title, and made appearances in the Sun Belt Championship game and the New Mexico Bowl.
Prior to his season at Louisiana, Mouton began his coaching career in the high school ranks in the Lafayette area. He served as the defensive coordinator at Comeaux for four years before holding the same position at Southside from 2020-23.
Mouton graduated from UL in 2016 with a business education degree.
