Kyle Skierski

Kyle Skierski joined the Nicholls State University football staff in 2022 as offensive line coach. He came to Thibodaux after three years at the University of West Georgia. 

At UWG, Skierski served as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator. The Wolves posted a 9-3 record in 2021 and reached the regional semifinals of the NCAA DII playoffs. Three of his offensive lineman garnered All-Gulf South Conference as the unit ranked eighth in the nation in fewest sacks allowed. The Wolves offense featured the No. 8 passing offense in DII and ranked 17th in total yards. 

Skierski spent three seasons at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi prior to UWG. He was the offensive coordinator and assistant head coach for the Majors, helping the program to 20 wins in his tenure. The offense ranked No. 3 in the country in fewest sacks allowed and featured five first-team all-league selections. 

Prior to Millsaps, Skierski had stints as offensive line coach at Birmingham Southern College in 2015 and Aurora University in 2014.

Skierski served as an offensive graduate assistant at TCU for three years from 2011-13. During his tenure, the Horned Frogs had four offensive linemen drafted into the NFL and a total of four earn all-conference recognition. 

TCU won a third consecutive Mountain West title in 2011 and went on to defeat Louisiana Tech in the Poinsettia Bowl. In its first season in the Big 12 in 2012, the Horned Frogs won seven games and played in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.

Skierski graduated from UC Davis where he was a double major in communications and organizational studies. He played for the Aggie football team as an offensive lineman, logging 33 consecutive starts. Skierski was a team captain and received the 2006 Aggie Pride Award -- which serves as the highest honor for the program. In addition to playing football, he served as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. 

Following graduation, he played three seasons overseas for the European Federation of American Football. Skierski was a team captain and was part of the 2008 French National Championship squad.
