Mario Jeberaeel enters his first season as offensive line coach for the Colonels after spending two years as a graduate assistant, where he assisted with the offensive line and other areas of the program.
Jeberaeel (pronounced Jeb-ree-el) came to Nicholls after serving as an assistant offensive line coach at Western High School during the 2009-10 school year.
Prior to coaching at Western High, Jeberaeel attended the University of Nevada-Las Vegas where he lettered four seasons with the Rebels Football team. At UNLV, Jeberaeel played in 36 games over his four-year career.
The Las Vegas, Nev. native earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in education and counseling from UNLV in 2008. Jeberaeel is working towards his master’s of arts in teaching at Nicholls.
The 25-year-old is single and resides in Thibodaux.
