2012 Season (Junior): Named Southland Conference All-Academic... appeared in 10 games... was second on the team in receiving yards, racking up 308 on 22 catches... caught at least 1 pass in each game... had a career day against Evangel, haulding in 3 receptions for 121 yards... recorded a 68-yarder in that game... was the Colonels' primary kick returner with 31 for 596 yards (19.2 avg)... had a 53-yard return against Evangel... tallied 898 all-purpose yards.

2011 Season (Freshman):  Played in all 11 games for Nicholls as a true freshman... finished the season with four carries for 24 yards (6.0 ypc)… recorded five receptions for 32 yards… also had one kick return for 27 yards… recorded two tackles… best game was against Evangel in the season opener where he had three rushes for 21 yards and two receptions for six yards.

At John Curtis: Lettered in football, basketball, baseball and track… earned all-state honorable mention, all-metro and all-district in football as a senior… garnered academic all-state… named all-district in 2009… member of the 2008 2A state football championship team… team was state runners-up in 2009 and 2010… an all-state runner in track and was named New Orleans Metro Track Runner of the Year for 2010… won 2010 state title in the long jump (23’1”) while placing second in 100M (10.67s) and third in the 4x100M relay… honored as valedictorian… member of the National Honor Society… four-year Honor Scholar.

Personal: Born on June 5, 1992… son of Elaine and Joel Hanberry… father played football at ULM… has six siblings: Kenny, Joelaine, Joel Jr., Jacob, Julianne and current teammate, Jordan… sisters Joelaine and Julianne graduated from Nicholls… brother Jacob played football at Millsaps.… majoring in business/law.
