2019 Season (Senior): Started all 14 games at safety... garnered All-Southland for the second straight year, earning third-team honors... was third on the team with 97 tackles... finished with 70 solo tackles and 3.5 for loss... had a career-high 13 tackles in the win at UIW... totaled nine tackles, two TFL and a forced fumble in the victory against Central Arkansas... racked up 10 tackles against Abilene Christian and returned an interception 79 yards... recorded his first career sack in the win over McNeese... broke up two passes on the season... named Southland All-Academic.

2018 Season (Junior): Started all 13 games at safety... earned All-Southland Second Team in his first season as a starter... led the defense with 76 tackles including 60 solo... had a season-high 11 stops in playoff game at Eastern Washington... recorded 1.5 tackles for loss at Abilene Christian... was one of three players with two interceptions... first career interception came in River Bell Classic against Southeastern Louisiana... also had a pick at Eastern Washington... finished third on the team with five breakups... forced and recovered a fumble at McNeese.

2017 Season (Redshirt Sophomore): Saw action in 10 games, playing on special teams and at cornerback... had a tackle and a pass breakup against Prairie View A&M.

2016 Season (Redshirt Freshman): Played in 10 games as backup in the secondary... had six tackles (five solo)... had two stops and a pass breakup in the win over Lamar... received a redshirt as a member of the practice squad in 2015.
 
At University Lab: Played football for the Cubs... helped lead University to the 2014 3A state title... team won three undefeated district championships.
 
Personal: Born Aug. 1, 1997... son of Alfred and Lisa Mims... has an older brother, Kodie... his godfather, Cedric Anderson, played football at Tulane... majoring in computer information systems.
