2016 Season (Redshirt Freshman): Appeared in six games... played on special teams and as a backup offensive lineman... received a redshirt in 2015 as a member of the practice squad.
 
At Lusher: Lettered in football for the Lions… garnered first-team All-District 11-3A as an offensive lineman in his senior year… also played on Team New Orleans in all-star game... received second-team All-District in 2013… played for head coach Louis Landrum.
 
Personal: Son of Koz and Shawn Gruenig.. has two older brothers, Max and Gerald... Gerald was a four-year letterwinner on the offensive line for Nicholls from 2009-12... majoring in public relations.
