At St. James: Garnered Louisiana Sports Writers 3A Offensive MVP, All-State First Team, and 9-3A District MVP as a senior, leading St. James to a 15-0 record and its first state title since 1979... named New Orleans Advocate All-Metro Small Schools Offensive Player of the Year... also received Baton Rouge All-Metro First Team and Max Preps All-Louisiana Second Team... threw for over 2,000 yards and 17 touchdowns, and ran for nearly 1,300 yards with 27 TDs... in the state championship, he threw for 229 yards, rushed for 71, and had five total TDs in the victory, being named MVP... received the Warrick Dunn Award, given to players who excel on the field along with having intangibles like character, selflessness, and sportsmanship... also earned 3A All-State First Team as an athlete in his junior year...rated as a three-star recruit by ESPN, Rivals, and 247 Sports... No. 47 player in Louisiana by Rivals... No. 63 by 247 Sports and No. 111 nationally... ranks No. 27 of Dandy Don’s Top 100.
