2019 Season (Senior): Played in the final 12 games after missing the first two with an injury... was a unanimous All-American selection, garnering six honors... was a Top 3 finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award... named Southland Conference Player of the Year and All-Southland First Team... racked up 63 tackles and a team-high 12.0 sacks and 22.5 tackles for loss... ranked second in the FCS in tackles for loss per game (1.9) and sixth in sacks (1.0)... led the Southland in TFLs and was second in sacks... forced four fumbles, ranking fifth in the FCS... had a season-high eight tackles in two different games... recorded a sack in nine different games, including three with 2.0 sacks... had a sack in each playoff game against North Dakota and North Dakota State... totaled 4.0 tackles for loss against Abilene Christian and McNeese... recovered a fumble at the goal line to secure win over Southeastern Louisiana... also named All-Louisiana First Team for the third time.

2018 Season (Junior): Started all 13 games on the defensive line... selected as one of the top defensive players in the FCS, earning three all-American honors... named All-Southland First Team... finished fifth on the team in tackles with 46 tackles (27 solo)... ranked in the top 50 of the FCS in sacks (8.5) and tackles for loss (17.0)... had a season-high 10 tackles with 3.5 for loss and a sack at McNeese... earned Southland Player of the Week for his performance at Kansas where he had five tackles, 4.0 for loss and 2.0 sacks... posted a 3.0 sack game at HBU... forced a fumble on a sack at Northwestern State... finished with two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and two pass breakups... as a team, Nicholls ranked seventh in the FCS in tackles for loss, 11th in rushing yards allowed and 12th in sacks.

2017 Season (Sophomore): Start all 11 games he played, missing one with an injury... named All-Southland Second Team... had 26 tackles (16 solo)... was fifth in the Southland with 7.5 sacks and 15^th in tackles for loss (9.5)... had a sack-fumble and a season high five tackles in opening win vs. McNeese... recorded 2.0 sacks against Abilene Christian and HBU... registered a half sack in near upset of Texas A&M... broke up a pass against UIW.

2016 Season (Freshman): Started all 11 games on the defensive line...was second on the team in tackles with 60 (29 solo)... finished with 13.0 tackles for loss, including 9.5 sacks... his sack total ranked 12th in the FCS... best game came in double OT win vs. SFA where he had 14 tackles, 1.0 sack and forced the game-ending fumble... was named STATS FCS, Southland and LSWA Defensive Player of the Week for his effort against the 'Jacks... had three games with two or more sacks, highlighted for a 3.0 sack day against UIW... forced two fumbles on the season... blocked a field goal at HBU which was returned for a touchdown... had four stops with 1.0 for loss in debut against Georgia.

At Lutcher: Was a three-time all-state player and three-time district Defensive MVP… named First Team Class 3A All-State and Defensive MVP as a senior… racked up 108 tackles with 73 solo, 31 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, four forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in the regular season… led the Bulldogs to a Class 3A state championship as a senior, going 14-1… was a finalist for the Warrick Dunn Award… played for head coach Tim Detillier.

Personal: Born May 8, 1997... parents are Patrick and Amy Laiche... has two brothers, Tyler and Blake, and a sister, Carlie... majoring in petroleum services - safety technology.
