Blake Talos

Blake Talos joins Nicholls Athletics as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, while working on his Masters Degree.

His most recent experience includes working as a sport performance coach at the IMPACT Basketball Academy in Las Vegas, NV. At IMPACT, Talos assisted the Director of Sports Performance with the implementation of strength and conditioning programs. He helped prepare 2015 NBA draft picks, working with NBA and professional basketball players.

In May 2014, Talos worked as a strength and conditioning coach at Quinnipiac University. There he assisted in the execution of summer strength and conditioning programs for both men’s and women’s basketball and ice hockey.

Talos graduated from Purdue University in 2014, and holds a Bachelors Degree in Applied Exercise and Health with a concentration in Sports Performance.  While at Purdue he volunteered as an assistant for the sports performance staff for two years while working directly with the men’s basketball team his Senior year. His responsibilities included assisting in the operation of year round strength and conditioning programs, helping maintain the facility, monitoring athletes, and working with the team nutritionist.  

Prior to volunteering at Purdue, Talos worked as a volunteer strength and conditioning coach at The University of Tennessee, where he assisted the men’s and women’s basketball programs.

Blake Talos holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, USA Weightlifting, and the Red Cross.
