Prior to Nicholls:

At Middleton Grange School: Spent three years at Westlake High School, before playing his senior season at Middleton Grange School.... Was a member of the Canterbury Rams developmental league and the Mainland Eagles Academy... Represented New Zealand, North Harbour and Canterbury age group teams... Was a member of the 2015 undefeated Middleton-Christchurch championship team, which finished fifth among National Secondary Schools, the highest finish in school history... Led Westlake to a national runner-up finish in 2014, and a Boys High School National Championship in 2013.

Personal: Son of Carl Stent and Julie Weatherall, Stent will double-major in Applied Health Science and Human Performance, and hopes to pursue a career in athletic training.
