Taylor Jenkins

Taylor Jenkins was named Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach in August of 2018 after serving as a full-time intern at the University of Kentucky.

While at UK, Jenkins worked with several sports such as baseball, softball, swimming, soccer, track, and field, and cheer. His duties included directing the strength program for redshirt baseball players, helping oversee the women's soccer team, and he implemented a new athlete training orientation to provide proper movement patterns, lifting techniques, and safety. 

A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jenkins served as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Southeastern Louisiana, for two years. While at SLU, he designed and implemented comprehensive strength and conditioning programs for women’s volleyball, women’s tennis, men’s golf, and cheerleading and dance. Jenkins assisted directly in implementing strength and conditioning programs for various programs including football, women's basketball, baseball, and softball. Before obtaining a GA position, he worked with the Lion program as an intern.

Jenkins obtained two degrees while at Southeastern, earning a Bachelor's and Master's in kinesiology. He also played tight end for the Lion football team, helping them to back-to-back Southland Championships in 2013, '14. 

Jenkins is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is also a USA Weightlifting Level I Sport Performance Coach and member of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa).
