Kamiko Williams is in her first season as assistant coach for the Nicholls State University women's basketball program. She came to Thibodaux after spending three years in the same role at Monmouth University. 
In 2019-20, Williams helped lead Monmouth to its seventh consecutive MAAC Quarterfinals appearance. The Hawks ended the season ranked 35th in the nation for scoring defense, allowing just 57.5 points per game. The team defeated #7 Iona in the first round, 69-60. Under Williams' guidance, senior Sierra Green led the team with 11.1 points per game, drilling another 71 three-pointers to move into third all-time (169 total). Senior Rosa Graham ended the season ranking 10th in program history with 271 assists.
In 2018-19, Williams helped lead the Hawks to their highest-ever MAAC finish (4th). Monmouth accumulated a 14-17 (9-9 MAAC) overall record and advanced to the MAAC Semifinals for the second time in six seasons. After securing a first round bye, the Hawks defeated Canisius in the MAAC Quarterfinals, 64-53.
Williams served as an assistant coach at the University of New Haven from 2015-2018. While there, she had a hand in recruiting, academics, conditioning, community outreach, basketball camps, and fundraising. The Chargers advanced to the Northeast-10 Conference semifinals during the 2015-16 season.  
Williams played under legendary coach Pat Summitt at the University of Tennessee, helping the Lady Vols to NCAA Tournament appearances all four of her years and three trips to the Elite Eight. During her time in Knoxville, the team had a combined record of 120-23. Williams played in 128 games, averaging 4.5 points per game including a career best 7.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game as a senior while finishing her BA in Sociology in just three years.
Williams was then drafted by the WNBA’s New York Liberty in 2013. In one season with the Liberty, she averaged 2.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per game.
