Simone Rush is in her second year with the athletic training staff as graduate assistant at Nicholls State University. Rush is responsible for the overall care and rehabilitation of the Colonel women's basketball and tennis teams.
Prior to Nicholls, Rush spent additional time working as in intern in the WNBA with the Atlanta Dream in the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
Rush graduated summa cum laude from The University of Alabama in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. During her time at The Capstone, she worked with the Crimson Tide football, baseball, and men’s basketball teams, Shelton State Community College, a physical therapy clinic and a local high school.
Rush is currently working on her Master’s of Education with a concentration in Higher Administration.
