Erik Solberg joined the Nicholls women's soccer team as a volunteer assistant in August, 2013.

A former track student-athlete at Southeastern Louisiana and Ole Miss, Solberg is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration.

Solberg, a Chicago native, completed his NCAA eligibility as a graduate student at Southeastern Louisiana in 2012-13 and was named to the Southland Conference Academic Honor Roll.
 
Solberg graduated from Ole Miss in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies. While with the Rebels, Solberg twice earned SEC Academic Honor Roll accolades and was awarded two letters in track and cross country. He also played midfield for the school’s club soccer team, where he helped coordinate, plan and coach practices for the program.
 
A High School All-American, Solberg was inducted into Buffalo Grove High School’s Hall of Fame after a sixth place finish in the 2000-meter steeplechase at the 2007 USATF National Youth Track and Field Championships. He was also on the 2003 USATF National Junior Olympic team champion in cross country.
 
Formerly a violinist in the Lafayette-Oxford-University Orchestra, Solberg served on the leadership teams at Ole Miss and SLU for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
