Jacqueline Cason

Jacqueline Cason was hired in August 2017 as the assistant volleyball coach for the Colonels. 

Cason was an outside, middle and right-side hitter for the University of Texas at El Paso beginning in 2010. She served as team captain her senior season and totaled 100 or more kills in each season with the Miners.

Cason amassed more than 250 hours of community service over the course of her five-year career. She was on the honor roll every semester and a seven-time honoree on the Dean’s List (3.5 GPA or higher). Cason earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at UTEP.

Cason made waves as the head junior varsity and assistant varsity volleyball coach at Sacred Heart Academy (Louisville, Ky.), lifting her JV squad to the best record in the state. She was also part of a coaching staff that won the school’s first Kentucky state championship in 13 years.

Right after her tenure with the Miners, Cason coached the El Paso Stars 11’s and 12’s Blue and 16 Hammerheads club teams before taking positions as court coach at the USA High Performance tryouts and camp coach of the USA Volleyball Select national skills program.
