Team ResultsIndividual Standings

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – Freshman Jack Lee put together rounds of 67 and 69 to finish the first day of the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate in a tie for fourth place, as the Nicholls State University men's golf team wrapped up Monday's action in a tie for seventh at The Links at Novadell.

The Colonels shed eight strokes off their score from round one to two after dealing with wintry conditions in the early morning. Nicholls posted a 289 in the opening round and moved up two spots in the standings with a 281 in the second. The Colonels enter Tuesday's action trailing Missouri State by eight strokes for fourth and are just two back of New Orleans.

Lee, a freshman out of Bihorel, France, set a new career best in just his third tournament for the Colonels, shooting a 5-under 67 in the opening round. Lee's 3-under in the second round put him at 136 (-8) overall, trailing UT-Martin's Hunter Richardson by three strokes.

Peyton McCulloch also carded a career-low round, bouncing back from a 76 to finish with a 70 (-2). McCulloch was one of three Colonels to improve their score from the first to second round, joined by Chad Watts-Denyes (75-72—147) and Tye Smith (78-70—148), whose 70 was a personal best as well. Josh Fullilove fired a 1-under in the opening round before finishing with a 78.

Nicholls will conclude the tournament Tuesday morning with 18 holes, starting at 9 a.m.
