Results GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Nicholls State University men's golf team is in a tie for eighth-place at the ASU Fall Beach Classic at the Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club after shooting a 307 in the opening round on Sunday.
Peyton McCulloch and
Chad Watts-Denyes paced the Colonels 74s (+2), tying for 12th-place in the individual standings after 18 holes. McCulloch sank birdies on 2 and 12, matching
Josh Fullilove for the team lead. Both Fullilove (82) and Watt-Denyes shot even on the back 9, with Watts-Denyes parring each hole.
Rounding out the results for Nicholls were
Jack Lee (79),
Albert Badosa-Soler (80) and Fullilove.
Auburn leads the field with a 290 after the first round, with host Arkansas State in second at 293.
