THIBODAUX, La. – Coming off its first win away from home, the Nicholls State University women's basketball team will close out its longest road swing of the season as the Colonels take on Troy on Tuesday evening at 5:15 p.m. for their fourth consecutive game outside of Thibodaux.

Live stats and a video stream will be available on Troytrojans.com. A one-day pass for the video stream can be purchased for $5.95.

Nicholls (2-3) earned a split in the Lady Eagle Thanksgiving Classis over the weekend, falling to Samford, 45-43, on Friday before going on to take Saturday's game against Mississippi Valley State, 63-54. The Colonels used a balance attack on offense in the win over MVSU with four players scoring in double figures. Hope Pawlowski notched her third double-digit scoring effort of the young season with 15 points and freshman Cassidy Barrios netted a new career-high with 14.

It was the second time this season that Nicholls has had four players reach double figures, with the other coming against Prairie View A&M in an 81-70 loss. The 63 points against MSVU broke a string of back-to-back 43-point games for Nicholls, which is averaging 63.4 points for the season while yielding 65.6.

After five games, Pawlowski continues to head the offense at 10.6 points per game, followed closely by freshmen Sammi Deakin-Sharpe (9.6 ppg) and Barrios (9.4), and senior LiAnn McCarthy (9.0). Since returning from injury three games ago, McCarthy leads Nicholls with seven made 3-pointers.

Troy (2-2) features a high-powered offense as the Trojans have scored over 100 points in their two wins over non-Division I opponents. Entering Tuesday's game, Troy holds the nation's highest scoring average at 95.8 points per game and is led by Ashley Beverly Kelley, who is pouring in 22.5 points, good for 11th in the NCAA. Surprisingly, Troy has only one other player averaging double figures in scoring as Caitlyn Ramirez is at 14 points per game.

The lone game Troy was held to less than 90 points was a 73-69 loss to Samford, who Nicholls faced on Friday. The Trojans other setback came in a 102-93 shootout at Belmont on Sunday.

Although Nicholls has faced several Sun Belt Conference opponents in the past, the meeting with Troy will be the first for the Colonels.

Following Tuesday's game, Nicholls will return home to play the first game on a women's / men's doubleheader at Stopher Gym on Saturday, Dec. 5. The women will take on Louisiana Tech at 1 p.m., while the men will square off against Loyola New Orleans at 3:30 p.m. For tickets, please visit geauxcolonels.com or call the ticket office at 985-448-4790.
