FINAL RESULTS / LIVE SCORING
McKINNEY, Texas – After recording 30 in Monday's two rounds, birdies for the Nicholls State University men's golf team were tough to come by as the Colonels made just three in the final 18 holes to close out the Southland Conference Championship with a 311 at the Stonebridge Ranch Country Club.
The final-round score was the highest for Nicholls in the event as they slid down to finish in last place with a 309-303-311—923. The Colonels finished seven strokes behind Houston Baptist for 10th place.
Albert Badosa-Soler paced the team with a 1-over 73, helped by birdies on holes 6 and 13. Badosa also carded the best overall score for the Colonels in the tournament, placing in a tie for 18th with a 226.
Jack Lee posted his highest score of the event, firing a 79 to finish at 228. Lee was responsible for the team's other birdie as he shot a 3 on hole 4.
Josh Fullilove closed out his season with a 79 as well to shoot a 234 for the tournament.
Chad Watts-Denyes (85) and
Peyton McCulloch (80) both shot in the 80s to finish at 240 and 244, respectively.
McNeese State won the team title with an 877, followed by Southeastern Louisiana (884) and Sam Houston State (866). The Cowboys' Martin Eriksson took the individual medal with a 7-under 209.
