THIBODAUX, La. – Playing its third game in a five-day span, the Nicholls State University men's basketball team welcomes the University of Mobile to a 7 p.m. contest Wednesday at Stopher Gymnasium.
This is the last opportunity for Colonel fans to receive half-off general admission by bringing in a nonperishable food item for the canned food drive.
Nicholls (5-6) has won all three home games versus NAIA opponents this season. The Colonels are coming off a 76-69 setback at the hands of Tulane on Monday. Nicholls led by as much as 20 before a cold spell sparked a 20-0 Green Wave run.

Jahvaughn Powell (10 points, eight steals) and
Tevon Saddler (24 points, nine rebounds) each neared double-doubles. Powell's eight steals set a new career high as the Tallahassee, Florida, native now ranks sixth in Division I with 3.1 steals per game.
The Rams (5-7) dropped their first three conference contests, including an 86-61 loss to Blue Mountain College (Miss.), a squad Nicholls bested 104-68. Mobile is fronted offensively by 6-5 forward Tony-Toni Wright, who is averaging 14.6 points per game.
