LORMAN, Miss. – The Nicholls State University soccer team fell 1-0 to Alcorn State University Friday at Jack Spinks-Marino Casem Stadium.

"I didn't set the team up properly for today's game," head coach
Mac McBride said. "If ever there was a loss down to the coach this was it. I need to learn from this and do a better job in the future."
Lady Braves (1-2) forward and 2016 SWAC Freshman of the Year Rita Okoro took six shots on her own, putting Alcorn ahead in the 77th minute on a rebound from a free kick.
Nicholls travels to UL-Lafayette Sunday with kickoff slated for 6 p.m. CT.
