THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University men's basketball squad rides a three-game winning streak into the finale of three-game home stretch Tuesday against Texas A&M – Corpus Christi. Tipoff from Stopher Gymnasium is set for 7 p.m.
The Colonels are 11-8 and 5-1 in the Southland Conference, marking their best start through six games since the 2000-01 season. Nicholls fans can enjoy 50 percent off general admission and reserved seatbacks for this contest because the Colonels shot 50 percent in their most recent contest against UCA.
Senior guard
Roddy Peters, coming off his fourth straight appearance with 20-plus points, was named the SLC Player of the Week Monday. The Washington D.C. native has been doing his damage from off the bench in a sixth man role.
Nicholls boasts an 8-2 record at home this season, including a 4-0 mark in league play. The red and gray are currently tied with New Orleans in first place of the conference standings.

Despite a 1-4 record in SLC play, the Islanders (4-11) have respectable five- and six-point losses to Lamar and New Orleans, respectively. Corpus Christi is fronted offensively by senior guard Joseph Kilgore, who holds top-10 rankings in scoring (16.2 ppg) and free-throw percentage (.889).
