NFCA RELEASE/HONOREES

THIBODAUX, La. –  Nicholls State University softball had a Southland Conference-best 13 student-athletes recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as the organization announced Wednesday its 2019 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes.
 
Making the list for the Colonels were Allie Amerson, Brianna Clifton, Samantha Dares, Amanda Gianelloni, Melise Gossen, Skylar Hamilton, Kennedy Hebert, Emma Holland, Alexis LaBure, Megan Landry, Corynn Major, Kelsey Miller, and Gretchen Morgan.
 
In order to be selected as an Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete, a player must have maintained a 3.50 GPA for the 2018-19 academic year. Eight of the 13 Colonels posted a perfect 4.0 GPA. 
 
Nicholls was also recognized for its team GPA as the squad had a 3.34.
