HAMMOND, La. -- With just a week remaining in the regular season, the Nicholls State University women's volleyball program (11-14, 5-9 Southland) looks to secure one of the two final seeds in the Southland Conference Tournament with a pair of tough contests, initially trekking north to challenge in-state rival Southeastern Louisiana (13-15, 7-7 Southland) on Tuesday evening before returning home for Senior Day festivities & a key matchup against HBU (16-13, 8-6 Southland) on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
After fighting through the entire cast of Southland opponents over the course of the past month & a half, the Colonels wrap up the regular season with another pair of rematches, inverting the home-court advantage from the initial contest. Against the Lady Lions, the Red & Gray have their sights set on revenge after falling to SLU in a five-set barn burner on Oct. 1; oppositely, the Huskies enter Thibodaux seeking out their own brand of vengeance following the Colonels' 3-1 victory in Houston back on Oct. 3.
