THIBODAUX, La. --  Friday morning, head coach Stefanie Slekis of the Colonels cross country program announced the official schedule surrounding the upcoming 2nd Annual Nicholls XC Invitational & 43rd Annual Dr. Richard Morvant Invitational, slating the prestigious collegiate/high school dual event for Saturday, Sept. 21 at the recently upgraded Nicholls Farm in Thibodaux, La.

"We are thrilled to be hosting the 2nd Annual Nicholls Cross Country Invitational & 43rd Annual Dr. Richard Morvant Invitational this fall at the Nicholls Farm," Slekis said. "Dr. Quenton Fontenot and his staff from the Nicholls Biological Sciences Department have been working hard to facilitate updates and a new expansion for the course as we prepare to host the 2021 Southland Conference Championship. With the new expansion to the course, we will be designing new course layouts, including longer race distances for the University Men & Women since we will be hosting the meet three weeks into the cross country season this year."
