THIBODAUX, La. -- Monday afternoon, Nicholls State University head men's basketball coach Austin Claunch announced the promotion of Trevor Deloach to associate head coach, tabbing the one-year veteran of the program as the official first lieutenant on the coaching staff.

"Trevor has been instrumental in helping us retool over the past 12 months after losing so much from our 2017-2018 team," Claunch said. "From recruiting, scouting, and helping our guys on a day to day basis, Coach Deloach has developed an identity as a nonstop worker. His value goes way beyond the court, as he has cultivated meaningful relationships with every person in our program. This promotion is something that he has earned from Day One and I'm just excited to share the bench with him for another year."
