LAFAYETTE, La. -- The Nicholls State University women's soccer program (2-2-1, 0-0-0 Southland) faltered a tough non-conference match at in-state rival Louisiana-Lafayette (4-2-1, 0-0-0 Sun Belt), falling by a final 2-0 margin to the Ragin' Cajuns on Wednesday evening in Lafayette, La.

KEY STORYLINES & STATISTICS
-- Statistically, Nicholls chalked up just one shot on the night (none on goal) with one corner kick.
-- Individually, senior Blaire Laiche clocked the Colonels' lone shot for the game.
-- In between the posts, senior Roosa Hurmerinta notched her fourth start of the season, giving up two goals on the evening while registering three saves.

UP NEXT
Following the major in-state match at Louisiana-Lafayette, the Red & Gray prepare for the team's final two non-conference contests of the season, traveling north to Alcorn State on Friday, Sept. 13 and then back to Louisiana for Southern on Sunday, Sept. 15.
