THIBODAUX, La. -- Tuesday morning, Nicholls State University head track & field/cross country coach
Stefanie Slekis announced program alumnus
Hannah Naquin will rejoin the Colonels as an assistant coach, pending approval from the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors.
"We are thrilled to have Hannah return to Nicholls as a member of our coaching staff," Slekis said. "Hannah was the first student-athlete I met on my first visit to Nicholls and I was impressed with her dedication to both her academics and athletics over the course of coaching her during her senior year.
Hannah has already done a tremendous job in her first two weeks with our program. She brings great energy to every practice and understands the importance we place on the student-athlete experience at Nicholls. Hannah brings a wealth of knowledge from her personal experiences at Nicholls as a student-athlete and understands my vision for the program and how she can support our team continuing a strong academic tradition that we have established since Hannah's senior year and continuing our upward direction in the conference standings."
While competing for the Colonels from 2014-18, Naquin participated in a wide range of events across both indoor and outdoor track & field, and currently holds nine total Top Ten placements on the program's all-time lists, including:
