Colonels snap another 13 personal bests at LSU Twilight

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Competing in the final meet of the indoor regular season, the Nicholls State University track & field program orchestrated yet-another record-breaking slew of performances, concluding the LSU Twilight with 13 new personal bests -- six of which ranked on the program's all-time top 10 lists -- at the Carl Maddox Field House in Baton Rouge, La.

"We had an excellent last regular season meet at LSU," head coach Stefanie Slekis said. "Everyone at least performed a season's best and the majority ran or jumped personal bests with another six women breaking all-time Top 10 performer marks. Both the men's and women's teams did an excellent job of competing well with Hailey Alcorn taking the win in the 400m with another exceptional race, positioning herself to make her first conference final with a similar performance in next week's prelim. Several other women qualified for finals including freshman Keiondra Narcisse running an excellent 60m and 200m double. Chelsea Harrington also set a lifetime indoor personal best in the long jump final and performed very consistently in the prelim as well."
