FRISCO, Texas – Five members of the Nicholls State University women's track and field team was named to the 2026 Southland Conference All-Academic team as announced by the league office on Friday afternoon.
Seniors Andrea Triado and Anne de Jong, juniors
Isabelle Seijlhouwer and
Issy Rivault, and sophomore
Ava-Claire Calais were the five representatives.
Triado held a 3.819 GPA as a biology major while De Jong posted a 3.94 GPA as a psychology major. Seijlhouwer is a Criminal Justice major with a 3.93 GPA while Rivault is a nursing student who has a 3.675 GPA. Calais is a health science major with a 3.45 GPA.
The All-Academic teams are voted on by head coaches, sports information directors, and academic/compliance staff members from each Southland Conference institution. Student-athletes must possess a 3.25 cumulative GPA, have completed one full academic year at the nominating institution to qualify for All-Academic selection, and have competed in at least 50 percent of their team's meets. Fifty percent of those nominated earn the honor.
