THIBODAUX, La. -- Despite composing yet-another notable defensive performance, the Nicholls State University women's soccer program (0-3, 0-1 SLC) struggled, once again, to find the back of the net in Sunday afternoon's non-conference clash against in-state opponent Louisiana Tech (5-2, 0-0 C-USA), surrendering a late 65th-minute goal to the Lady Techsters before falling by a final 1-0 mark at Yockey Bernard Field.
KEY STORYLINES & STATISTICS
-- In a similar thread to the Red & Gray's previous two competitions this season, the LA Tech offense managed to consistently maintain some threat on Nicholls' side of the pitch, finishing the contest with 23 shots, 11 of which came on goal, along with seven corner kicks. Oppositely, the Colonels failed to pressure the Lady Techsters, only finding four shot opportunities with none forcing a save response.
-- Freshman
Reagan Carter continued her strong presence in net, giving up the lone goal on a ricochet from a well-placed corner kick while securing nine saves on the day.
-- Notably, the Colonels showed serious amounts of fire throughout the hard-fought matchup, closing out the game with four yellow cards and 13 total fouls.
