BATON ROUGE, La. - The Nicholls State University men's tennis team came up scoreless in its match Sunday, February 28 against LSU 7-0. 

Axel Cronje had the best outing for the short-handed Colonels in his singles matchup against Benjamin Ambrosio when he fell short 7-6 (7-5), 6-4. 

The Colonels lost both of their doubles matches. Cronje and Ricardo de Sales Chaves Machado fell short in their match 6-1 followed by a loss by Piyush Surendra Salekar and Pavle Drobnjakovic 6-2.

Nicholls was a player short for the lineup, surrendering the No. 6 singles match and No. 3 doubles. 

The Colonels dropped to 2-2 with this loss and their next match is against Alcorn, Sunday, March 7 at 2 p.m. in Lorman, Miss.
