THIBODAUX, La - The Nicholls State University men's tennis team came up scoreless in its match Saturday afternoon against Troy, 7-0.
Antoine Martin-Thiriat came close to winning his first set against Troy's Nicolas Simkin, having a tiebreaker in the first set, but fell short in both 7-6 (7-4), 6-1.Â
Omar Morsy was another Colonel who had a close matchup with his opponent, Manuel Bernard, only losing by 2 in each set, 6-4, 7-5.Â
The Colonels lost both doubles matches.
Pavle Drobnjakovic and Morsy fell short 6-2, followed by a 6-4 loss by
Axel Cronje and
Antonio Sasso.Â
The Colonels record dropped to 4-5 and they face off against Xavier, Sunday, March 21 at 2 p.m at the Colonel Tennis Complex.
