NEW ORLEANS - The Nicholls State University women's tennis team suffered its first shutout in conference play, falling 7-0 at New Orleans on Saturday afternoon at the University Tennis Center.
The Privateers (9-2, 8-1 SLC) jumped out to a 1-0 lead after winning courts 2 and 3, then won five of the six singles matches in straight sets.
Morgan Forshag was the lone Colonel to push her match to a third set. Squaring off against Lea Alguacil on the No. 6 court, Forshag won the second set before falling 4-6, 6-2, 6-10.
