NEW ORLEANS - The Nicholls State University women's tennis team fell 4-0 in its match against Tulane, Wednesday afternoon at City Park Tennis Center. 

In court 3 of doubles play, Laura Lopez and Nikita Pinto were trailing 4-3 before Tulane took the doubles point, after earning two 6-1 victories against the Colonels in courts 1 and 2.

In singles action, Pinto had a loss against Tulane's Cora Barber 6-0, 6-1, followed by Lopez falling short against Kristen Borland 6-3, 6-0. Simona Maksimovic lost her game 6-1, 6-4. 

The Colonels record dropped to 4-14 overall and their next match is Friday, April 9 at 2 p.m. at the Colonel Tennis Complex, where they will face off against Lamar University.
