TROY, Ala. -- The Nicholls State University women's soccer program (0-2-0, 0-0-0 SLC) struggled to curb the high-powered offensive attack of a veteran South Alabama (2-0-0, 0-0-0 Sun Belt) squad throughout Sunday afternoon's non-conference match, eventually suffering a 6-0 defeat to the Jaguars in both programs' Trojan Classic conclusion at the Troy Soccer Complex in Troy, Ala.
KEY STORYLINES & STATISTICS
-- The offensively-minded Jaguars managed to turn a strong attack into a near-perfect defense, holding Nicholls to just one shot-on-goal for the entire contest. Meanwhile, South Alabama finished with 39 total shots -- 23 of which came on frame -- along with 12 corner kicks to the Colonels' zero.

Reagan Carter, who logged her second-consecutive complete game between the pipes for the Red & Gray, wrapped up the day with 12 saves and six goals allowed.
UP NEXT
With the season-opening weekend tournament at Troy out of the way, the Red & Gray aim to close out their early roadtrip with a positive, trekking back east to Southern Mississippi on Thursday, Aug. 26 for a major non-conference clash, kickoff slated for 5 p.m.
