FRISCO, Texas - Nicholls State University had 88 student-athletes named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's 2021 Fall Honor Roll, which recognizes student-athletes in the sports of cross country, football, soccer and volleyball who maintained at least a 3.0 grade-point average for the semester.

Included in the honorees are 18 Colonels who had a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Four student-athletes on the list also earned All-Academic honors for their respective sports -- Elsa Rijpstra (Cross Country), Zack Bernard (Football) and Volleyball's Devon Bright and Emily Gauthreaux.

Football had 43 student-athletes on the list, followed by women's soccer with 20. The men's and women's cross country program combined for 14 honorees while volleyball had 11.
