NATCHITOCHES, La. - The Nicholls State University women's soccer team allowed a goal in the second minute against Northwestern State and it set the tone for the rest of the match as the Colonels fell, 5-0, Sunday afternoon at the Lady Demon Soccer Complex.

Northwestern State (7-3-3, 4-2-2 SLC) scored two more in the half and added another two after the break for the victory. The Lady Demon defense allowed just one shot the entire match and NSU finished with a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Avery Mondoux had the lone shot for the Colonels (2-12-1, 0-8-0), who continue to fight for their first conference win since defeating Stephen F. Austin in 2018. 

Reagan Carter totaled six saves and faced a total of 18 shots by the Lady Demons. Olivia Draguicevich and Gracie Armstrong were the offensive stars for Northwestern State as each scored two goals and combined for three assists. Taylor Spitzer also scored for the home team, finding the back of the net right before the intermission.
